Every subscription business eventually hits the same wall: you’re managing recurring donations and memberships across a dozen scattered screens, and nobody’s having a good time. UpStage just tore that wall down.
The new Recurring Transactions Dashboard gives admins one place to see, sort, and manage every recurring donation running through the system. No more hunting through individual order details to figure out what’s active, what’s paused, and what quietly expired three months ago.
Watch the walkthrough below to see it in action.
Finding The Dashboard
You’ll find it in a new spot: CRM, then Transactions, then Recurring Transactions. It’s a new navigation item, so if you go looking for it under an old menu out of habit, that’s on you now, not the software.
What The List Dashboard Shows You
The main list view is built for scanning, not squinting. Each recurring transaction shows:
- Order Info, sortable by order number
- User, sortable by email
- Original Transaction, Latest Transaction, and Next Transaction dates, sortable by date
- Schedule
- Status, shown as a color coded pill: Active, Paused, or Cancelled
- Action
Status sorts by the label itself, not by expiration date, and if there’s no expiration date set, it just shows “NA.” Refreshingly honest.
Editing A Recurring Transaction
Click into any recurring transaction and you land on the Edit Dashboard, which is where the real upgrade lives.
Admins can now pause a subscription, not just cancel it. While paused, every editable field, amount, schedule, expiration date, and recognition options, locks down until the subscription is reactivated. That’s intentional. A paused subscription shouldn’t be quietly edited into something unrecognizable while nobody’s looking.
There’s also a cancel option that cancels only, with no refund triggered. Payment method changes aren’t available anywhere in this flow; that hasn’t changed.
One important behavior to know: any edits to the amount or schedule apply to the next scheduled transaction, not the one that already happened. Nobody’s going back in time to alter a donation that already cleared.
Order Change History, A New Way To See What Changed
Also new: an Order Change History card that logs edits to a recurring transaction, showing only the values that actually changed. No digging through a full record to spot the one field that moved.
A Simplified View In Order Details
The Manage Donations dashboard inside Order Details has been simplified too. Fields there are now disabled by default. If an admin needs to make a change, they click Edit Recurring Product, which routes them straight to the Edit Dashboard for that transaction. One clear path in, instead of two dashboards quietly disagreeing with each other.
